Her five children are grown, giving her added time to pursue her painting, one of many creative interests in her life. She fell in love with the Sierra foothills and high country when visiting them as a little girl and has returned as often as possible.
Nini has an intense love of color and a keen sense of form, the latter learned especially when taking a course in photography in her High School years. Photographic sharpness continues to be a feature of her works, along with a mastery of shading and color to capture both form and depth in her paintings.
